My name is Shar Wong and I live in a very small town in Southwest Washington State very close to Portland, Oregon.
I started my love affair with dogs as a child and it has just continued to grow. Like many of you, my family had its share of "pound puppies" when I was growing up. I loved each and every one. They taught me a sense of responsibility and showed me what unconditional love is.

It wasn't until many years later that I was introduced to Great Danes. My sister bred and showed her Great Danes in Confirmation and Obedience. Needless to say, I became the proud owner of my first Great Dane over 28 years ago; which led to me breeding and showing them for many years. I bred very selectivly and not very often as I only bred when I was in a position to keep one of the puppies. I bred with my sister and we produced many champions including CH Wong's Rose Medallion V Grandy and CH Wong's Dynasty V Grandy.

While at a dog show with my Great Danes, I noticed a little dog peeking out of someone's coat... Oh my... was that the cutest little thing only a mother could love... but, I couldn't get that little dog out of my mind. I researched and found that the little dog was a hairless Chinese Crested. This was long before they were ever recognized by the AKC. I continued to breed and show Great Danes but this "Little Crested" stayed in the back of my mind.

When Chinese Cresteds were approved by the AKC I would stop by their ring at dog shows just to see what this little dog was like. I found that they are Big Dogs in little dog clothes. Curious and happy, friendly and silly all rolled into a package no taller than 13 inches.

In 2002 I had an accident which left me unable to handle my Great Danes. I was devistated... I still had my Danes but knew that I would never be able to breed them or probably show them again; I was heartsick.

However in the back of my mind was that "Little Crested" I had quietly watched for years. By this time they were recognized by the AKC and I had seen a few of them at shows. This little nag in the back of my mind became an all consuming passion... I researched, read, asked any and everyone about this breed called the Chinese Crested... and in 2003 a very special little Chinese Crested was born in Connecticut.

In January 2004 I took the long airplane ride across the country to claim my Little White Puffer named "Jewels Iced Latte' Above the Clouds". Her name shortly became "American Champion, Canadian Champion, Best In Show International Champion Jewels Iced Latte' Above the Clouds, AOM, TDI".
Ti'an (meaning Heavenly or Above the Clouds) is a most special little girl. She has never met a stranger. She smiles, yes she really does smile, and she brings a palpable joy where ever she goes. She filled my aching heart to over flowing. I can't even image what it would be like without her. She is "The Little White Puffer that Could". She is my sun, my moon, my heart. The rest, as they say, is history.

I hope that you will enjoy your visit to Above the Clouds Chinese Cresteds and come back often! Just remember, Chinese Cresteds are like potatoe chips, you can't have just one!<
